May 05, 2024 celebrated the return of the signature fundraising event for the Rotary Club of South Hilo in support of local charities in the Hilo Community. Reimagined as the Hilo Huli Luau, the event featured a first of its kind luau dining experience featuring an array of local dishes prepared for the attendees topped of by a stage show by Hula Halau Ke `Olu Makani O Mauna Loa and the musical stylings of Mark Yamanaka and Darlene Ahuna. Accompanying the festivities was an array of local artisans and organizations showcasing their talents and enrichment to those in attendance. The organizations supported by the event were:

- Hawaii Island Adult Care
- HOPE Services Hawai`i
- Ho`oulu Lāhui
- Island of Hawai`i YMCA
- Ke `Olu Makani
