Your Presentation:
If you are interested in Speaking, please use the form below to send us a short biography as well as a brief outline of your presentation. If you have a PowerPoint presentation or video that you would like to bring to aid your presentation, you are of course welcome to do so. We will dedicate 20-30 minutes of time for your presentation. If you require more time to present your ideas, please let us know ahead of time so we can arrange accordingly.
Some Guidelines:
Thank you for speaking to the Rotary Club of South Hilo. You will be speaking before about 30 of the most diverse and civically active people in Hilo who are eagerly looking forward to what you have to say.
- Please provide a biography as soon as possible, so that introductions can be sure to be correct.
- Please advise if anyone will accompany you, so we can order lunch.
- Please arrive early, so we will have time to help you set up equipment, props, anything you might need.
- Your presentation should last about 25 minutes (including Q&A), and should be over no later 12:55 p.m. People will leave for their next appointment if your presentation runs long. Please take no offense.
- Any subject can make an interesting Rotary presentation except for the two things most folks agree shouldn’t be discussed at the supper table: Politics and religion.
We’re sorry we have to mention this, but it has come up from time to time. While we appreciate anyone willing to teach us something new, speakers won’t have an opportunity to sell or promote anything, or ask for donations. Or votes. Otherwise, have all the fun you can, and our profound gratitude.
