Hilo Huli Less Than Two Weeks Away!
Sunday, May 6th is this year's edition of the Hilo Huli which will feature the smiling faces of the Rotary Club of South Hilo welcoming the hundreds of locals and visitors that are planning to attend.
With Hilo Huli approaching in less than two weeks, logistics, planning and ticket sales are all coming to a fever pitch.  Things are moving along pretty well according to event chair, Pat Aiona, Jr.  "We're fortunate to have a pretty experienced crew who have done this multiple times.  But everyone is still pretty focused," said Aiona.

Online tickets sales are picking up and tend to accelerate as we get closer to May 6th.  Once again, multiple Hoku Award winning entertainer, Mark Yamanaka will be our headliner.  Tracy Kim will be heading up the Silent Auction again this year, which has become a huge part of our fundraising effort.   Anyone wishing to donate items for the Silent Auction should contact Tracy at 808-937-1137 or Pat Jr. at pat4rotary@gmail.com.

Members (their friends or family members) are needed to work on several of our key committees:  1) Audrey Wilson needs 12-14 volunteers to work in vendor booths, 2) Paulla Speegle needs 5 people to drive the shuttle vans in shifts between 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 3) Zeda Medina needs 6 people who would like to help with checking ID's and "banding" people who which to drink alcohol.  There are many other positions for volunteers.  Please call or email Benson (808-286-6559 or rcshnews@gmail.com) if you are interested in volunteering.  Mahalo!
